Community Programming

DIY, grassroots classes and events for everyone!

Monthly classes and community events will be hosted that are DIY and grassroots based to pass along the torch and knowledge of the punk ethos. Whether it’s for the kids making their own jackets or silk screening your own patches and shirts, we are excited to come together and promote the arts.

PAST EVENTS:

  • Punk Kids

    • Families came together to step back into time and create their own ‘punk attire’ by sewing patches, designing and making their own buttons as well as artistically express themselves through usage of fabric markers on their chosen shirt, jacket, pants, etc. passing one of the many DIY concepts to the next generation of punks.

  • Film Festival

    • Four local filmmakers came together to showcase and/or debut their art to the community. All filmmakers had their start in the punk scene and are now endeavoring to continue their sub-genre journey through visual media and film.

  • Panel Discussion

    • This panel discussion was particular to Cell 63’s exhibit and featured voices from the local 90’s San Fernando Valley punk scene, The panel brought together musicians, community members and uplifted the voices of the grassroots venue Cell 63.
