Our Mission
Preserving and promoting the punk sub-culture from conception to current times in the Los Angeles area.

VISION
Punk Arts & Culture preserves and celebrates the legacy of local punk rock through accessible public history and community-driven programming. We create free or low-cost public galleries, curating museum-style exhibitions that document the untold stories, underground networks, and artistic contributions of local punk scenes. We also create opportunities for intergenerational connection through artist talks, panel discussions, live shows, film screenings, and community archives, ensuring that the spirit and history of DIY punk is passed on to future generations.
We give voice to the people, spaces, and stories that built punk from the ground up, prioritizing the preservation of local legacies, community-run venues, and underground scenes that shaped the foundation of punk’s identity and DIY ethos. We ensure these grassroots histories are not only preserved but recognized as essential cultural contributions.

FOCUS
Creating free or low-cost public galleries, prioritizing accessibility for youth, artists, and longtime members of the punk scene:
>One of our primary services is curating gallery and museum-style exhibitions that spotlight the untold stories, underground networks, and art of local punk scenes in order to preserve them for future generations
>Exhibitions include collaborative installations, curated photography shows, and pop-ups that elevate punk-influenced visual artists, photographers, and designers
>Archive and present original flyers, zines, photography, audio recordings, and oral histories that document the evolution of DIY punk in our region
>Create space for community-programming for veterans of the scene to connect with younger generations through artist talks, panels, screenings, and community archives in order to inspire, encourage, and pass the torch to the next generation of punks
